OATI Announces Acquisition of OATI Campus
MINNEAPOLIS — May 12, 2009 — Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI) an industry leader providing innovative software solutions and services to the North American energy industry announces the acquisition of the 22 acre OATI Campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota which will house the next generation OATI Data Center. The property is located in Minneapolis and was formerly known as the Honeywell Camden Facility. The OATI Campus infrastructure and location are key components in the design of the Data Center. Dr. Sasan Mokhtari, President and CEO of OATI, made the announcement today following yesterday's successful closing of the real estate transaction. "Acquisition of the Minneapolis location empowers OATI to meet the future challenges in the energy industry. The next generation Data Center will incorporate compartmentalization and concurrent redundancy with maintainability as well as providing the highest level of physical and cyber security. This acquisition evidences OATI's commitment to the energy industry to continue to be the premier provider of products and services, and to lead the industry in solving the challenges presented with Smart Grid technology."

In addition to the Data Center, the OATI Campus will feature an Executive Briefing Center, Conference Center, Customer Care Center, Training Center, and will house up to 500 staff members. Jerry Dempsey, Vice President Sales and Marketing said, “This new OATI Campus provides the ability for OATI to continue the growth as the leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider. It facilitates the growth plans for becoming the Smart Grid technology leader in addition to the existing trading, reliability, and compliance products and services.”
